Plantar Fascia Roll
Massages and loosens the tight band along the bottom of the foot.

What it helps
Eases and loosens the tight band along the sole of the foot — relieving the morning heel-and-arch tightness behind plantar pain.
How to do it
- Sit and place a ball (tennis or massage ball) or a frozen water bottle under the arch of the foot.
- Roll it slowly from the heel to the ball of the foot with comfortable pressure.
- Pause on tender spots for a few seconds.
Tips
- A frozen bottle adds cooling for a sore heel.
- Comfortable, firm pressure — not sharp.
Commonly done as 2–3 sets of 1–2 min, daily.
Where this appears in recovery
Plantar Fascia Roll is part of 2 recovery programs, typically in the phase 1 and phase 2 stage. Each program shows how it fits alongside the other movements:

These are general exercise guides, not a personal prescription. The repetitions and frequency shown are what's commonly used — your own surgeon or therapist may advise something different, and their guidance comes first.
